3D Graphics, Illustration, Software Engineering, Game Development

Hi I'm Aimei (pronounced I-may) and I like to make stuff. This site is where most of it goes. Yeah it could use a good design pass.

I'm interested in illustration, 3D graphics, game development, animation, film, writing, scientific outreach, algorithmic/procedural art, audio-driven realtime visuals, comics, fashion design, costumes and props, jewelry making, music performance, electronic music composition, and... trying to make peace with the fact that I can't do everything all the time. But I'm currently working on an indie game, which does combine a lot of interests: dev blog

During the day I'm a Technical Director in simulation and cloth tailoring at Pixar Animation Studios for Inside Out, Finding Dory, The Good Dinosaur, and Coco.

I graduated from Brown University in 2013 with a double major in Computer Science and Physics.  In the past I've interned at the Space Telescope Science Institute, Pixar Undergraduate Program, and the Johns Hopkins Materials Research Science and Engineering Center.  I was also a two-year teaching assistant for the computer animation classes CS125 and CS128 at Brown University.
